OnRe appoints Tunde Olowofila Head of Reinsurance
OnRe, a global on-chain reinsurance company, has announced the appointment of experienced industry professional, Tunde Olowofila, as its new Head of Reinsurance.
In his new position, Olowofila will be responsible for OnRe’s underwriting strategy, which includes overseeing risk selection and portfolio construction as the company expands.
He will also collaborate closely with brokers, cedants, capital providers, and regulators to create top-tier insurance programs that offer both real-world yield and on-chain transparency.
As OnRe’s capital base grows, Olowofila’s leadership will be key to scaling capacity, launching new insurance products, and strengthening our regulatory relationships – especially with the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA), where he will serve as the reinsurer’s primary underwriting liaison.

Olowofila brings nearly two decades of global reinsurance experience to OnRe, previously known as Nayms, with a background spanning treaty and facultative business, specialty lines, and structured reinsurance programs.
Throughout his career, he has built and led underwriting teams across London, Bermuda, and Dubai, having held senior roles at leading global reinsurers, managing portfolios across Europe, MENA, and Asia-Pacific.
