Starr appoints David Wang as Head of Financial Lines, Asia Pacific

Starr Insurance, a provider of commercial property and casualty insurance, has announced the appointment of David Wang as Head of Financial Lines, Asia Pacific.

Based in Singapore, Wang will lead the company’s growing Asia Pacific Financial Lines team, executing underwriting strategies and driving business performance across the region.

He brings over 20 years of experience in the Asia Pacific insurance market and strong technical expertise across all Financial Lines products, including Management Liability, Professional Indemnity (PI), Financial Institutions (FI), and Cyber.

Wang joins Starr from Zurich, where he spent nearly 15 years, most recently as Head of Financial Lines, Singapore.

Earlier in his career, he held positions at Continental Insurance Brokers Ltd. (CIB) and Sinosafe General Insurance Co., Ltd., Tianjin Branch.
