SageSure appoints Prasad Gunturi as VP Catastrophe Risk R&D

SageSure, a provider of catastrophe-exposed property insurance, has announced the appointment of Prasad Gunturi as Vice President (VP), Catastrophe Risk R&D.

Founded in 2009, SageSure is a managing general underwriter focused on catastrophe-exposed markets in the U.S., offering home, flood, and commercial coverage on behalf of highly rated carrier partners. The company operates in 16 coastal states, has surpassed $2.3 billion in premium, and has more than 1,000 employees across the US.

In his new role, Gunturi will lead SageSure’s Cat Risk R&D team, advance its multi-peril view of risk, and engage with reinsurers and other external stakeholders.

Gunturi brings 25 years of catastrophe risk management experience. He joins SageSure after nearly two decades at Willis Re, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President.

Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Vulnerability Engineer at Risk Management Solutions (RMS), now part of Moody’s.
