Ben Lyon named CEO of Gallagher Securities UK

Global reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has announced the appointment of Ben Lyon as CEO of Gallagher Securities Limited (UK) and Head of Capital Advisory, based in London.

Gallagher Re logoGallagher Securities is the insurance-linked securities (ILS) and capital markets division of Gallagher Re.

Lyon brings a strong legal background and extensive leadership experience in the insurance sector. He will work closely with Gallagher Re’s broader ILS team.

He currently serves as Counsel at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates, and previously spent 12 years at Debevoise & Plimpton, most recently as International Counsel.

His deep expertise in complex capital raising and re/insurance transactions will support Gallagher Re’s clients in executing bespoke capital raising mandates with institutional and global investors.

In a recent LinkedIn post, Lyon said, “I am thrilled to be joining as CEO of Gallagher Securities (UK) and Head of Capital Advisory at GallagherRe.
