Andrew Weare named Lead Underwriter Mining for HDI Global SE

HDI Global SE, the Corporate & Specialty Division of the Talanx Group, has announced the appointment of Andrew Weare as new Lead Underwriter Mining, succeeding Matthew Johnson who is retiring.

HDI Global logoIn his new role, Weare, who has been with HDI Global for more than seven years, will report directly to Rafael Rebitzky, Chief Underwriting Officer, HDI Global Specialty SE.

Commenting on the executive’s appointment, Rebitzky commented: “I am very happy to see this important business in Andrew’s hands. Our clients will benefit greatly from his experience and our service as we will continue to act as their reliable Partner in Transformation.”

Earlier in the year, S&P upgraded HDI Global SE’s credit ratings from “A+” (Strong) to “AA-” (Very Strong), with a stable outlook.

According to the rating agency, this positive adjustment also applies to the Talanx Primary Insurance Group, reflecting the consistent enhancement of HDI Global SE’s balance sheet and its strategic diversification of earnings across various business lines and regions.

S&P also acknowledged HDI Global SE’s robust performance within the Talanx Group, noting its significant role as a key player in the Corporate & Specialty segment.
