Qubit appoints Damian Lynch as CUO of Digital Asset Insurance

Qubit Underwriting Limited has announced the appointment of Damian Lynch as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) of Digital Asset Insurance, effective November 1, 2024.

In his new role, Lynch will report to Helen Ye, Qubit’s CEO, and will be responsible for leading the company’s underwriting strategy in the rapidly evolving digital asset space.

Helen Ye, expressed her enthusiasm for Damian’s appointment, stating, “We are very excited to welcome Damian to our team! Digital asset insurance is complex and evolving, and we believe that his profound knowledge and experience in financial line underwriting will be a fantastic addition. Together, we can tackle the challenges in this space and create market-fit products that truly serve our clients.”

Lynch brings nearly 30 years of industry experience to his new position. He joins Qubit from Fusion Specialty, where he served as Managing Partner of Fusion Financial Lines MGA.

Prior to that, he was the Regional Manager for Asia Pacific Financial Lines at Allianz in Singapore.

Lynch also spent 10 years at Zurich, where he established a financial institutions division, and 13 years at Chubb, specialising in financial lines underwriting.
