Ben McGregor becomes Chubb’s Head of Property & Terrorism, UK and Ireland

Global property and casualty insurer Chubb has announced the appointment of Ben McGregor as Head of Property & Terrorism, UK and Ireland.

In his new role, he will be responsible for leading, managing and developing the Property and Terrorism portfolios in the UK and Ireland.

McGregor is a strong commercial property insurance professional with three decades of experience in the insurance industry. he has been with Chubb for 22 years and most recently served as the firm’s Head of Property, Asia Pacific (APAC) and Japan for its general insurance business.

During his time at Chubb he has held a number of senior positions at the company, such as Property Practice Lead, Southern Region, and Property Manager in Australia & New Zealand.

Prior to joining Chubb, McGregor spent close to five years at CGU, where he served as Property & Casualty Underwriter.

McGregor is one of Chubb’s most recent appointments. It follows the hire of Greg Giardiello as Global Controller, who succeeded Mong-Diep “Dee” Le, Chubb’s new Chief Auditor.

Chubb has also recently expanded its risk engineering and resiliency capabilities for clients transitioning to a low-carbon economy with the appointment of Amelie Fava-Verde as Senior Vice President of North America Chubb Resilience Services.
