McCubbin becomes QBE Europe’s new Head of Global Network & Multinational Technical Underwriting

QBE Europe has announced the promotion of Glenn McCubbin to the new role of Head of Global Network and Multinational Technical Underwriting.
McCubbin has been part of QBE Europe for over six years, having joined the company in 2018 as a Multinational Client Manager.
He was then appointed Multinational Network Manager before being named Multinational Underwriting Proposition Manager.
Prior to QBE Europe, the executive served as Specialty Casualty Underwriting Manager at StarStone Insurance, where he has tasked with supporting the company to develop and investigate new casualty products in various lines of business.
McCubbin also served as Senior Class Underwriter, Energy Liability, Offshore & Onshore for Catlin Insurance Group, a role he held for four years following his tenure at Marsh, where he was head of Energy Casualty-London.
He was also part of Zurich Insurance, where he spent two decades of his re/insurance career.
McCubbin’s promotion is one of QBE’s most recent appointments. It follows Ed Rainsford’s appointment as Chief Risk Officer for Australia Pacific, who has been with the company for a decade.
Additionally, QBE Re has recently welcomed five new hires to its Accident & Health (A&H) team, appointing Henry Brigstocke as the new Head of A&H and Mollie Sallery as Assistant Underwriter.
