Anthony Lamb promoted to Global Underwriting Manager, Marine, AXA XL

AXA XL, the property & casualty (P&C) and specialty risk division of global insurer AXA, has promoted Anthony Lamb to Global Underwriting Manager, Marine, as part of the firm’s Global Chief Underwriting Office.

An experienced veteran across the sector, Lamb has been with AXA XL for over a decade working within the firm’s Aviation and Marine lines of business.

As Reinsurance News understands, Lamb, in his new role, will be involved in shaping the underwriting strategy and framework for Global Marine along with reinsurance purchasing, governance, and portfolio management.

Lamb began his career in the industry in 2012, by working as a Graduate Trainee at global re/insurance broking group, Aon.

In related news, AXA XL recently announced the appointment of Chris Caponigro as Head of Reinsurance Capital Management. In his new role, based in the US, Caponigro will further expand the company’s product offering and investor base by continuing to develop the team’s infrastructure and strategy.

Furthermore, AXA XL and US Marine Insurance Group (US MIG) recently announced that they have entered into an underwriting agreement to expand its Inland Marine insurance offerings in the supply chain and transportation sectors.
