Concert names Rawlins SVP, Property Underwriting and Program Management

Concert Group Holdings, Inc., a privately owned insurance holding company, has announced the appointment of Charles Rawlins as Senior Vice President, Property Underwriting and Program Management.
In his new role, Rawlins will be responsible for underwriting and program oversight on various programs, with a primary focus on growing a profitable book of property driven business.
He will report to Joe Alberti, Chief Underwriting Officer at Concert, who commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Charlie to the Concert team. His breadth and depth of experience in the insurance industry, both in the US market and at Lloyd’s, will be invaluable as we continue to develop a diversified portfolio at Concert.
“Having had responsibility for a wide variety of lines of business, both as a broker and as an underwriter, I have no doubt that Charlie will play an integral role in achieving our goal of establishing Concert as a best-in-class hybrid fronting carrier.”
Rawlins comes to Concert from the Lloyd’s underwriting consortia Brace, where he was co-founder and CEO, and Brace USA, where he was CEO.
The executive began his almost two decades of industry experience at Willis in London where he started as a broker responsible for US property which was followed by underwriting roles at ACE Global Markets (now Chubb Global Markets).
He then moved to Hiscox London MArket, where he held underwriting and management positions. His book of business included property, war, terrorism and political violence as well as power and mining and upstream energy.
