Davies names Amber Wilkinson as Group CFO

Davies, a specialist in professional services and technology, has appointed Amber Wilkinson as its new Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Currently serving as CFO at global law firm DLA Piper since 2021, Wilkinson brings extensive experience from over a decade at insurer AXA.

She held senior roles including CFO of AXA Health and Bluefin Insurance, as well as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions for AXA UK & Ireland.

She is a Chartered Accountant who trained at PwC in London, gaining valuable insights in audit and corporate finance.

Commenting on her new appointment, Wilkinson said: “I am excited to be joining Davies as Group CFO at what is a pivotal time, as the business seeks to further internationalise, and invest in technology and client service.”

“Davies has delivered impressive growth over the past decade, while also holding on to a great culture, supported by its employee ownership programmes. I look forward to working with Dan and the wider leadership team as we deliver for our clients and stakeholders.”

Wilkinson will join Davies later this year, reporting directly to Group CEO Dan Saulter and joining the firm’s executive committee. She succeeds Tony Debiase, who will step down after 12 successful years as CFO. This appointment follows Davies’ recent announcement of a £1.5 billion refinancing of its senior debt facilities.

This includes reducing annual interest expenses, extending maturities to 2031, and securing additional credit to support its strategic initiatives in M&A, technology, and AI.

Over the last decade, Davies has seen its revenues increase by 25 times, establishing a workforce of over 8,500 professionals spread across more than 20 countries.

These include expertise in claims, underwriting, distribution, regulatory compliance, risk management, dispute resolution, customer experience, human resources, digital transformation, and change management.
