
SRG set to launch new global motorsport underwriting offering, Skilton to lead

Specialist Risk Group’s Managing General Agent (MGA), MX, has announced that it will be launching a new specialist motorsport underwiring offering, MX Motorsport, which will underwrite all classes of motorsport business on a global basis supported by A rated capacity.
According to the announcement, MX Motorsport’s team will distribute its products through a panel of specialist motorsport brokers, across the globe.
At the same time, the company has confirmed that industry veteran Tim Skilton has been hired to lead MX Motorsport, bringing a robust degree of knowledge and experience of global motorsport products.
Skilton joins the organisation from Allianz Commercial, where he previously served as Product Leader for International Motorsport. In this role, he was responsible for Motorsport product, wording and underwriting for this sector on an international basis.
More details on MX Motorsport are expected to be announced in the run up to the official launch, which currently has no date set.

In related news, SRG recently signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Warburg Pincus and Temasek.
The partnership with these investors aims to support SRG’s growth plans and strategy, with SRG’s management team retaining a significant stake in the company.
