Hamilton appoints Jamie Secor CUO of its US E&S Insurer, Hamilton Select

Hamilton Insurance Group has appointed Jamie Secor as Chief Underwriting Officer of Hamilton Select, the firm’s US excess and surplus (E&S) lines insurer.

hamilton-group-logoSecor has over two decades of underwriting and senior management experience, having joined Hamilton following a ten-year tenure at Kinsale Insurance Company.

At Kinsale, she was one of the founding members of the Professional Liability team when it first launched.

Before leaving Kinsale, Secor rose to head of its Commercial Property division.

Secor began her underwriting career in 2000 at State Farm Insurance before joining James River Insurance in 2004.

In the new role, Secor will report to Hamilton Select Chief Executive Officer, Anita Kuchma, who commented, “I’m pleased to congratulate Jamie on her well-deserved promotion.

“Since joining Hamilton in 2021, Jamie’s know-how and expertise have proven instrumental in building Hamilton Select. I look forward to working with her even more closely as our key E&S underwriting platform continues to thrive.”

Secor herself added, “I’m exceptionally excited to step into the Chief Underwriting Officer role at Hamilton Select. With our experienced and committed team, we look forward to increasing our market penetration in what we anticipate being another robust year in the E&S market.”

Hamilton Select is based in Hamilton’s US headquarters in Richmond, Virginia.
