Industry veteran Clive Buesnel joins Insurance Advisory Partners as Managing Partner International
Insurance Advisory Partners (IAP), the specialised investment bank focused exclusively on insurance, insurance services, and the insurtech industry, has announced the appointment of Clive Buesnel as Managing Partner International, effective mid-October.
Buesnel, a renowned figure in the insurance sector with over three decades of experience in operational and strategic leadership roles, will be based in London and will report to co-founders Tony Ursano and David Kimmel.
Buesnel’s illustrious career includes senior leadership roles in both the UK and global insurance markets. His primary responsibilities in his new role will involve collaborating closely with fellow IAP Partner Bhaven Pathak to drive and execute the company’s international strategy, covering the UK, EU, and other key international territories.
Prior to joining IAP, Buesnel served as the CEO at Tysers Insurance Brokers, following his tenure as Senior Partner, Vice Chairman, and UK Head of Insurance at Deloitte.
His extensive background also includes roles as CEO of Jubilee Insurance, a Lloyd’s Managing Agency, and a decade-long stint at Xchanging, where he was a founding member and Executive Director of its insurance business.
Buesnel’s diverse career has taken him across multiple geographies, including the UK, North America, Latin America, France, Germany, and Switzerland. He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School.
